We finished work early 2021 but we will be adding and tweaking as we learn what works best so it will evolve, especially what is provided on the land itself. We have a dog agility / playground area planned with bits already in place, plus seating areas dotted around.

We are open for bookings check the calendar for availability.
We hope we can welcome you and your dogs to our home and that you will love it as much as we do!

Bark at the Barn

The Belfry is a 3-bedroom, self-catered and dog-friendly converted barn, located on Trehill Farm in Devon.
We welcome all dogs and their owners. There are no breed restrictions and no maximum number of dogs allowed on the property, which boasts 15 acres of fully fenced paddocks and woodland for the sole use of the occupants. As dogs are a part of the family, they are allowed in any part of the property, and on furniture and beds. Dogs stay free!

Unleash and Unwind

Setting up Bark at the Barn has been our dream for many years. It took us a while to take the plunge and find the perfect place for your holiday and our forever home.

How to Get Here and Things to Do

Transport Links

The Belfry has good transport links and is 10 minutes from the A30, with easy access to motorways from there. Okehampton is also about 10 minutes away and has small speciality shops and supermarkets, a museum, a castle and a cinema.

Walks

For those whose dogs are happy to venture out, there are circular walks from the doorstep along public footpaths. We are on the edge of Dartmoor, with its 368sq miles of unspoilt countryside with granite Tors, ancient woodlands, waterfalls and prehistoric standing stones.

Attractions

There are many attractions on the moor, like the old prison and the zoo, where the show ‘I Bought A Zoo’ was filmed, and many more (for more information see (www.dartmoor.gov.uk). Tintagel, Clovelly, and the Eden Project are all easily reached.

DOG-FRIENDLY BEACHES

We are also less than an hour away from either coast, with the English riviera and Jurassic Coast to the south, and the more rugged coastline of West Devon and North Cornwall to the north.
